2940 Woolworth Apartments

This project was a complete renovation to a condemned building.  The client bought the building and through City of Omaha funding built 14 new apartments. The project was started in 2002 with the owner acting as his own general contractor.  After two years of delay the City of Omaha funding was in jeopardy.  The client hired Lacey Construction, Inc. to finish the project.  When we stated the third floor was painted, but had no finishes (cabinets, stools, sinks, flooring) started.  The second floor was the same as the third but it had yet to be painted.  The lowest level had framing yet to be completed.  The City of Omaha gave the owner an ultimatum to finish the project completely in the next two months or they would pull their funding.  Lacey Construction, Inc. completed this project on time and saved this client from having to return nearly $220,000 to the City of Omaha.
